Wraps and printed vinyl have been used on race cars for several years now, mostly for NASCAR
teams. Within the last couple of years the technology has become more
affordable so that dirt track racing can also use this product. And how
it works is instead of the lettering and design being cut
from multiple colors of vinyl, everything is printed on white vinyl. The machine can print
up to 3000 different colors, so it is possible to have colorful logos
and numbers without a bunch of layers. After the material is
printed it is then laminated to protect it from fuel and other
chemicals for a longer lasting and more appealing design. The laminate
is stronger than other types of vinyl which makes
it better for racing. Numbers, names,
sponsors or even window stickers can be made large or small. We also still use cut vinyl for some applications. Call or e-mail with any questions on this process.
